Strawberry Simple Syrup Recipe

Incredibly fragrant and natural strawberry simple syrup made with real fruit. This syrup is very versatile and can be used for drinks, milk teas, on pancakes, cakes and much more!

strawberries, hulled and chopped
(300 grams)

granulated sugar
(140 grams)
⅓
cup
water
(70 grams)
Instructions
Wash, hull and chop the strawberries into small pieces.
Place the chopped strawberries, sugar and water in a medium saucepan. Give everything a mix to combine, then cook over medium-high heat.
Once the mixture starts boiling, reduce heat to medium-low and simmer for 10 minutes. The strawberries should look very soft at this point.
Use a sieve to remove the fruit flesh, then pour the liquid syrup back into the saucepan. Store the strawberry flesh and use in yoghurt.
Cook the syrup over low heat for another 5 minutes or until it has the consistency of maple syrup.
Let cool down completely, then store in a glass jar or bottle.
